Senior Research Scientists

Working within the synthesis laboratories and reporting to a Research Manager, your responsibilities will include synthesis and purification of organic compounds; scale up of synthetic processes; writing SOP's and technical reports and maintaining / updating the chemical inventory.

Candidates for Senior Research Scientists are required to have supervisory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting.

The candidate should possess a university degree in organic chemistry. Candidates must also possess a thorough knowledge of parallel synthesis of a new library, modern spectroscopic methods and chromatographic techniques. In addition, excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills are required as well as the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Flexible working hours are required as these positions are required for an afternoon/evening shift.

Familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft word, Excel, and Cambridge soft is also required.
